Dr. Young is a subject matter expert in CCaH and aging in place. She earned her PhD in Leadership and Gerontology from Concordia University Chicago where her dissertation was a qualitative analysis of the wellness coordination model of CCaH programs. She also earned her M.S. in Gerontology from McDaniel College. Dr. Young speaks nationally at conferences on the model and has also been published by McKnight’s Senior Living and Long-Term Care News. In 2023, Amanda received the McKnight’s Senior Living Women of Distinction Rising Star award.

Amanda enjoys educating individuals about the benefits of CCaH programs and seeing how valuable this program and its services can be for aging adults. She loves building relationships with clients and being able to make a difference.

She decided to develop M.A. Longey Consulting after seeing the need in the industry and the increased interest of organizations exploring CCaH as an option.
